Inspiration

How does inspiration strike ? Deliberately, methodically, through repetition ? Or subliminally, subconsciously ?

I lean toward the latter. However, sometimes there is a clear through line between the works that inspire us and what we ultimately create. I took a walk through Haymarket last week and caught the neon lights streaming onto the narrow streets. I wasn’t consciously thinking of Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty expansion or Liam Wong’s stunning TO:KY:OO photo book. I was inspired by them.
